Pest Control
Sheldon Mann, the R.M. of Deer Forks’ Pest Control Officer works with the public to control the rat population within the Municipality. The Pest Control Officer gives information, advice and assistance as well as inspects outbuildings to detect the presence of rats.
A variety of mouse and rat poison is available at the R.M. Office.
Noxious Weeds
Brian Ausmus and Brandon Dietrich, the R.M. of Deer Forks’ Weed Inspectors, can help you identify noxious weeds and answer any questions you may have. Please call the R.M. Office for any questions you may have regarding noxious weeds.

The RM has developed a cost share program to aid in the control of leafy spurge. Below is the policy and form required.

Flowering rush: impedes distribution of irrigation water in canals, reduces water availability for water intake systems, interferes with boat propellers, swimming and fishing, impacts biodiversity, and impacts fish habitat.
Policy Regarding the Prevention and Control of Clubroot
The Municipality of Deer Forks No. 232 recognizes that clubroot is a serious problem of cruciferous plants.
